Education Support Manager 

Are you committed to high quality inclusive early childhood programs? Our Education Support and Family Services team is seeking new team members!

Apply now to join a highly skilled team of early childhood professionals. You will be based in KU Central Office and responsible for the management of education support for children across a group of KU Children’s Services.

In addition to your undergraduate degree in early childhood you will have post graduate qualifications in special education or inclusive education, and experience providing consultancy and case management to early childhood services. You will have effective time management skills and excellent documentation and record keeping practices.

Working in collaboration with KU early childhood management teams, you will be responsible for visiting KU Services, observing children and providing expertise support and referrals to educators and families. Your knowledge of child development and early intervention will assist in the provision of inclusive education and supportive programs for all KU families. You will be responsible for overseeing the application for and implementation of, various inclusion support funding and you will have excellent communication and documentation skills.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract position working full time (part time can be negotiated), 8 hours per day and accruing a monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO).

A Driver’s Licence with your own car, and the ability to travel to KU services is required.

The main responsibilities of the role include;

  • Working alongside KU teams to support the implementation of KU policy and practice
  • Support for a select number of KU Services to implement inclusive practices
  • Oversee the application and implementation of relevant inclusion support funding
  • Manage the employment of additional educator staffing within your service distribution
  • Deliver KU training packages including Guiding Children’s Behaviour to educators
  • Document centre and child based visits, meetings and referrals
