About the Centre:
McArthur is working exclusively with the owner of a purpose built, well-resourced centre located in Glen Waverley.
The centre is managed by a very passionate and knowledgeable Bachelor Qualified Director. The centre is newish and achieved “Exceeding” within its first year.
The center consists of 6 rooms that cater for up to 70 children. This beautiful campus has been carefully designed with learning spaces that allow children to reach their fullest potential, from literacy and numeracy, to exploration, technology, creative expression and sustainability.
About the opportunity:
As the Diploma Qualified Room Leader you will lead and inspire a dynamic and easy-going team of educators in the toddler’s room.
In this role, you will assume responsibility for the quality of care provided to the children, the preparation, implementation and evaluation of appropriate programs for children, maintain appropriate records based on written observations and evaluations of children’s development, liaise with families, ensure a safe environment is maintained for both educators and children and to support, guide and encourage educators to utilise appropriate strategies when working with children.
As the Room Leader you will have a minimum of 3h a week for planning and your assistants will have some planning time too.
Selection Criteria:
- Diploma of Children Services - or ACECQA equivalent
- Current WWCC, First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR
- A high level understanding of the Early Years Framework and National Quality Standards.
- Room Leader experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A bright, friendly and energetic personality
- 2x Referees (previous managers)
