YOUR ROLE

Teaching years 1 to 3, your primary responsibility is to deliver creative and structured lesson plans based on the students in your class, in accordance with the State-based Guidelines and Curriculum.

With classroom sizes between 6 and 8 children, you can build strong relationships with your students, encouraging them through important learning milestones and ensuring they have the best education no matter their learning ability!

Through daily observations, and applying your knowledge and expertise you will ensure the individual needs of all students are met. You will also be part of a supportive and fun teaching team, enabling you to grow and develop as a SEN teacher.

This role is a 6 month contract with the opportunity of a permanent position for the right teacher!


Requirements

  • an Early Childhood Degree or ACEQCA approved equivalent allowing you to teach 0 to 12 years old
  • OR a Primary Degree with the ability to teach pre-primary
  • a current NT Ochre Card or willingness to apply
  • SEN experience and knowledge - (physical, mental and behavioural)
  • a love of early childhood education
  • experience developing stimulating lesson plans for mixed ability classes
  • the skills to lead and organise other teachers, working collaboratively
  • a proven ability to build and nurture respectful and mutually-beneficial relationships with children and their families
