Position Objective:

You will be a dynamic, highly motivated and proactive early childhood professional who will work collaboratively as part of our early childhood services team, supporting the overall vision of Little Ducks standards in exemplary early childhood care and education. As a Lead Educator you will specifically support the Wilston Service within the wider community and develop integral relationships with your children and families. You will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders playing a pivotal role in planning, delivering and evaluating the EYLF program, demonstrating that outcomes are being met within key learning and developmental outcomes. 

Lead Educator applicants should hold a Diploma in Children's Services and have sector experience.

Personal and Professional Development:

Continually develop both personally and professionally to meet the changing needs of your position.

Instigate and participate in professional conversations around early childhood theory, trends and policy changes.

Attend all training sessions provided by management and be actively involved in training and development of team members.

To work alongside your team to inspire and motivate staff by sharing current and relevant knowledge.

Be an active community member in advocating and sharing our Early Childhood program with relevant and key stakeholders within the community.

Be actively involved in the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan of the service and the ongoing self-assessment for continuous improvement.

Actively participate in the ongoing self-assessment process as it relates to the Quality Improvement Plan of the service and the National Quality Standards and support all colleagues to be involved in this process.

Additional Requirements to qualifications:

Working with Children Check (or exemption), First Aid qualifications, Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management training.
