This is typified by a number of industry and government initiatives already underway in the area of structural materials at Monash, including ARC Centres and the Woodside FutureLAB.  Contemporary work in structural materials is interdisciplinary, and we seek the brightest and best in a range of fields. The following areas are of interest and are also key to the strategic alignment at Monash:

  • Materials Design and/or Materials Discovery
  • Structural Materials, Metals and Alloys.

Our aerostructures research connects us directly with local industry and defence.

All appointments will be made to the most relevant department and where appropriate, candidates will be jointly appointed to multiple departments.

The Faculty of Engineering has a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and flexibility in the workplace.  At Monash we are proud to have been awarded the prestigious citation Employer of Choice for Gender Equality for our leading practice in advancing gender equity  monash.edu/gender-equity. This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
