An exciting opportunity exists within State Schools Division, Disability and Inclusion Branch to be part of the Education Adjustment Program team. We are seeking a Statewide Validator who will be responsible for implementing statewide quality assurance processes associated with the provision of education adjustments for students with disability in Queensland state schools.The Statewide Validator will work closely with the statewide validator, regional and school leadership teams to implement the Education Adjustment Program validation process.

The Statewide Validator, Education Adjustment Program will work as part of the EAP team, and requires a strong commitment and capacity in collaboration, negotiation and communication. The statewide validator is also required to have capabilities to operate independently to implement the validation process within regions and schools.

As the statewide validator you will:

  • analyse EAP data at the state, region, school and student level
  • work closely with regional personnel to plan validation processes in schools
  • lead the validation process in schools, by reviewing supporting documentation available for education adjustments recorded on the EAP profile
  • collaborating with school teams to review and adjust profiles as required
  • prepare relevant school, regional and senior officer reports
  • deliver professional development associated with EAP processes
  • develop professional resources related to EAP, the profile and validation processes. 

The ideal applicant will have the following key attributes:

  • A deep knowledge of the Education Adjustment Program components of verification, the profile and validation
  • Thorough knowledge of contemporary curriculum, assessment and pedagogical practices associated with the education of diverse learners including students with disability
  • Thorough knowledge of the policies, procedures and tools available for state school staff in demonstrating their planning and implementation of education adjustments for students with disability
  • Capacity to analyse data from a range of sources, recognise patterns and trends and present data in a meaningful way
  • Capacity to negotiate with school leadership teams and a wide range of other stakeholders
  • High level written communication skills.
