This is an RTO with great small team environment that is able to offer the right person for the role flexibility to suit their lifestyle needs.

The overall purpose of this position is to ensure that the RTO maintains compliance with the relevant state and national standards. 

The Compliance Manager will implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with: 

  • The Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) 
  • Skills First contract managed by HESG 
  • VET Student Loan contract issued by the Federal Government.

This role is also responsible for submitting and reporting accurate training activity and student statistical data for the above training contracts.

Responsibilities: 

This is a flexible learning organisation. As such, the following is a list of indicative responsibilities for this role: 

  • Manage all aspects of RTO compliance from enrolment through to completion 
  • Provide compliance advice as required to the Adult Learning and Marketing Manager 
  • Administer and submit reports within allocated deadlines 
  • Maintain reporting calendar and ensure timelines for reports and submissions are met 
  • Address and report issues related to compliance to the Adult Learning and Marketing Manager and/or CEO 
  • Manage and conduct internal audits for the RTO 
  • Timely and accurate data entry into systems 
  • Maintain integrity of curriculum documentation through version control 
  • Maintain currency with all regulatory, legislative and contractual requirements

Required Competencies and Attributes Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to reduce organisational risk through adherence to legislative, regulatory and operational requirements. 
  •    A strong background in implementing processes and procedures that ensure compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015, ASQA Guidelines, VET Quality Framework, VET Student Loans Act, Skills First contract, and the Victorian VET Student Statistical Collection Guidelines. 
  • Ability to ensure contract compliance by meeting statistical data requirements 
  • A strong focus on addressing and reporting compliance issues 
  • Prioritising and monitoring compliance change; internally and externally 
  • Demonstrated background in managing efficient administrative, financial and data management systems 
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of small team 
  • Experience in monitoring the accuracy of data input and output and create meaningful reports 
  • Demonstrated ability to build proactive and professional relationships with internal/ external stakeholders 
  • Expertise in the accurate and timely processing and reconciliation of financial claims and project/ program invoicing 
  • Operating knowledge of SVTS, HEPCAT/HEIMS/HITS, DELTA and VETtrak Qualification, Certification and Training: 
  • Experience working in a Registered Training Organisation with demonstrated knowledge of the ASQA standards and funding contract management 
  • Business Administration or relevant qualification
