Avenues Early Learning is a family owned company that has been in business since 2003 with many childcare centres across Brisbane. Our Sunnybank Montessori centre is seeking a highly skilled and pro-active Administration Assistant who holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).

**The successful candidate must be fluent in both English and Mandarin**

This is a diverse role that requires a candidate with good administrative skills and the ability to communicate to clients, staff and management both written and verbally. This role requires a person who can deliver excellence in customer service and passion within our centre. Working as a support to the centre manager the successful applicant will be required to assist with administration duties. 

The successful candidate will hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, speak fluent English and Mandarin, and have experience working in an early education setting.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Work alongside the centre manager 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Answer the phone
  • Data entry
  • Payment entry
  • Filing
  • Manage new enrolments
  • Responding to emails

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • A current working with children check (Blue Card) or ability to apply for one
  • Minimum Diploma in Children's Services 
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Minimum 2 years working in childcare 
  • First Aid/CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
  • A good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
  • A calm demeanour, and ability to handle stressful situations
  • Advanced time management skills
  • Good phone manner
