Seaford Heights ELC is a part of a group that is setting the benchmark within the Early Years sector. The centre caters for up to 104 children per day and committed to high-quality education and excellence in service delivery in everything we do.  

Reporting to the Centre Director, the 2IC will support and work in partnership with the Director to ensure the centre runs to it's full potential. 

Day to day you will:

  • Effectively engage children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups / stages of development
  • Create positive relationships with team members, children and their families
  • Work collaboratively with other team members on a range of projects unique to this service
  • Demonstrate great time management and organisational skills
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children at all times

You will have:

  • Knowledge of the stages of physical, emotional, cognitive, social and cultural development of children
  • A genuine interest in promoting children's learning and well-being
  • A solid understanding of the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework
  • A high degree of professionalism, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • The ability to demonstrate and approach tasks in a professional and proactive manner, using initiative and flexibility
  • The willingness to learn and inspire others to continue their learning journey
  • An enthusiasm for continuous improvement and professional development.

You will hold:

  • A  Diploma in Children's Services or Bachelor of Early Education
  • Previous experience as a 2IC/Lead Educator desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience in Early Childhood settings, including a strong ability in Documenting Children's Learning 
  • A current Working with Children Check 
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificate
  • Completed Child Protection Training
  • Be available to work Monday to Friday between 6:30am to 6:30pm.
