About the role

We are looking for a Senior Officer to join our Educational Leadership and Sector Support team to assist in developing training programs, presentations, workshops, eLearning modules and other support material to the early childhood education and care sector.

Benefits and perks

This role is full time ongoing at ACECQA Band 5 ($83,933- $102,274) with 9.75% superannuation

  1. Experience in the delivery and/or development of policy for, quality education and care programs and services.
  2. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across audiences and genres (including social media, print and web-based), backed by high level written communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to negotiate confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and conceptualise complex multifaceted concepts and issues, developing proactive and innovative outcomes.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of the children's education and care sector in Australia and demonstrated familiarity with the National Quality Framework including the National Law and Regulations, learning frameworks and related resources.
  6. Proven ability to develop productive working relationships with external stakeholders and peak organisations.
  7. Ability to develop and deliver informative and engaging presentations, resources and articles that align with the NQF and promote quality education and care programs and practices.
  8. Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, relevant legislation, learning frameworks and standards, contemporary research, policies, practices, theories and trends relating to children's education and care in Australia.
  9. Demonstrated ability to use a range of technologies and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  10. Effective teamwork skills, including a proven ability to contribute to the success of a project or team.

Highly Desirable:

  1. Qualifications and experience in children's education and care and/or adult learning.
  2. Knowledge of, or experience in, regulatory processes or government decision making.
