The University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Business and Economics seeks to appoint a dynamic, industry-engaged leader who can drive our approach to ensuring that our students develop the skills, knowledge and experiences they need to be professionally-ready for the workforce.
As the Manager, Student Employability and Enrichment you will be the primary professional staff member responsible for supporting the senior leadership team to develop a fit-for-purpose student employability and enrichment strategy. You will also lead the implementation of a portfolio of student-facing services and programs aligned to this strategy. Currently, the portfolio includes a range of activities including orientation and transition, work integrated learning, mentoring, industry and experiential programs, professional skills workshops and student clubs.
You will report to the Director, Academic Services and form part of a wider management team. Through this team you will ensure that the Faculty’s employability and enrichment activity, which you oversee, complements the work done by our student-focused academic, marketing and recruitment and scholarship teams. You will also drive a partnership approach with colleagues across the University to maximise the overall employability and enrichment offering available to the Faculty’s students.
If you have a demonstrated record of success in navigating the interface between industry and universities around graduate employability, we want to hear from you. Experience in or an understanding of the higher education sector would be desirable.
