Reporting to the Senior Manager Member Pipeline, this role will be responsible for developing strong relationships with external key stakeholders within the university portfolio with the aim of positioning Chartered Accountants ANZ as the preferred accounting designation amongst learning professionals, deans and regulators at universities.

Key aspect of the role will be to identify decision-makers within the university portfolio and build sustainable relationships that enhance advocacy and influence the future of the accounting and finance profession.

About the Role:

Provide oversight, consultation and advice of CA ANZ tactics and strategies to strengthen brand resonance and improve collaboration in strategy implementation.

Key responsibilities include:

Academic client management

Primary point of contact with academics to build and manage strong working relationships with relevant staff at academic colleges and schools, such as senior university/college and/or school dean/lecturers/teachers on matters relating to academic relations, representing the organisation on and off-campus.

Communication

Plan, develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan using varying media, including but not limited to email, print, web and social media. Strong relationship management skills, using influence and persuasion to achieve desired outcomes.

Project management

Plan, develop, execute and oversee an integrated University engagement plan; effectively manage workload, individual and team projects, create project plans, responsible for project budgets and ability to achieve project deliverables.

Issue resolution

Being an escalation point for issues raised by stakeholders in the university portfolio and being responsible for overseeing closure of those issues. Mitigate and manage risk in time.

Insights

Engage, influence and build presence ideally within a professional service or equivalent environment. Encourage and source external feedback to coordinate and communicate that feedback to relevant internal stakeholders to facilitate improved satisfaction within the university portfolio.

About you:

Proven experience in:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education desired but not essential  
  • Experience within the education and academic sector i.e. knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment practice.
  • Ability to apply a visionary approach to the future needs of the accounting profession
  • Lead and participate on cross-functional teams
  • Share knowledge and expertise to achieve organisational goals and initiatives
  • Achieve set goals and targets from a financial and activity perspective
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and public speaking ability
  • Knowledge of the accountancy profession is beneficial but not essential
