Assistant Manager, Children’s Centre
- Part Time or Full time, continuing role based at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus
- $82,684 - $91,135 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation
The La Trobe University Community Children’s Centre is located on the Bundoora campus of La Trobe University and primarily services the La Trobe University community, including professional and academic staff and students. The Centre offers three programs to families, All Day Care, Sessional Care and the Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre (ASELCC), which is overseen by a Senior Coordinator, and is licensed for 187 spaces across 11 playrooms.
About the role
The Assistant Manager’s primary responsibility is to supervise the day-to-day operations of the centre, leading the education and support staff to ensure that families and children receive best practice care and education. A key role of the Educational Leader is to collaboratively develop goals, with the team and Management, for the Centre and individual playrooms across the year, to support the Centre and team to continually improve in our provision of education and care to children and families.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this position you will have:
- A Diploma or Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood qualification.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of educators within an early childhood setting
- Demonstrated organisation and problem solving skills, with an ability to manage several different projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of contemporary child development theories and learning frameworks
