About the role
OCTEC Limited is a not-for-profit organisation with its base in Orange NSW. We are committed to serving our local community through high quality training.
We are seeking a pool of trainers to deliver programs throughout the Central West. We may also have work in other regions across NSW and ACT for trainers who are able to travel.
Trainers are sought for the following courses and programs:
- CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support
- CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing
- CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability
- CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
- CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services
- HLTAID003 Provide first aid
OCTEC Limited employs most trainers and assessors on a casual basis. All casual trainers are paid on a weekly basis, and our trainers are paid for preparation, lesson planning, delivery of training, assessment work, reporting and administration. Where travel beyond 90 minutes is required, trainers are provided with a company vehicle and paid for their travel time.
We are open to discussing contract training through an ABN by negotiation.
Criteria
OCTEC Limited trainers and assessors must meet the following criteria.
- Hold a TAE40110/TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a higher-level adult education qualification
- Hold one or more of the qualifications listed above, or an equivalent qualification
- Have recent experience, or have maintained industry currency in the community services sector (eg Aged Care, Disability Care)
- Have participated in activities or professional development ensuring a solid understanding of current VET practices and requirements
- A drivers licence
- Working with Children’s Check
The above criteria are essential, and OCTEC is unable to employ trainers who do not meet the above requirements.
