Deputy Principal Primary - Hambledon Public School Position Information Hambledon Public School, located in Quakers Hill currently has an enrolment of 650 students with 40% from language backgrounds other than English. The school has a strong focus on developing consistent, high quality educational practices using evidence based research to put students at the centre of their learning. Selection Criteria In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with evidence of exemplary teaching practice and extensive curriculum knowledge. Demonstrated evidence to strategically lead curriculum change and professional development that embeds differentiated quality teaching and high expectations for student learning. Visible, consultative leadership in leading school improvement and supporting staff through strategic planning and educational reforms. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and support staff in the creative and highly effective use of technology Strong collaborative management and exemplary interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to build upon positive relationships across the school and community in line with our wellbeing framework. General Selection Criteria 1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning 6.
