Save the Children’s Mobile Play2Learn is an outreach early childhood program that goes out into the community and supports families and children to reach their full potential. In this challenging work environment, we need you assist in the delivery of quality early childhood education and promote parent-child interaction. Working casually, you will be flexible to work when required, giving you a great work/life balance.

Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.
We’re ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children’s rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in Australia and overseas and, if there’s a disaster - like an earthquake, drought or conflict - we are there on the ground.

Where you come in:
In these casual positions based in Brisbane, you will support the development of school readiness skills and facilitate improved relationships between parents and children. Working across different sites, you will work in a team to create an environment of trust and respect with families and children. You will be part of our Mobile Play2Learn team and report to our Team Leader.

You will make an impact by:

  • Assisting to develop and deliver early learning programs
  • Working within a team to ensure programs are culturally appropriate
  • Creating a welcoming and safe environment to encourage active participation
  • Growing an understanding of early learning amongst families and sharing your knowledge with community members

If we could compose the perfect you…
…You are passionate to work with young children and parents. Your sensitivity and community knowledge will see you build strong connections with families from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. You are motivated, eager to learn and not afraid to jump in feet first to assist in making our programs successful.

This role requires:

  • Certificate III in Children’s’ Services or equivalent
  • Experience working with children 0-6 and families in a group setting
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Current valid driver’s licence

Working at Save the Children is more than just a job.
It’s the feeling of knowing that your work is contributing to making the world a better place for children and working with others who feel the same. We offer a competitive salary including generous salary packaging benefits, a friendly and flexible work environment, and great career opportunities - both locally and internationally.
