Morayfield
- Full-time, fixed-term position, 2 years duration
- Salary: Classification Level 7 or 8, dependent on experience (Salary range A$84,974 to A$92,890 or A$95,525 to A$108,186 gross per annum plus up to 17% employer super)
- Based at the Morayfield Health Hub with travel to other site locations
The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) has established a world class Clinical Trials Centre, which through partnerships with medical experts and industry is bringing advanced treatments and breakthrough therapies to our communities. The Centre is seeking a self-guided, experienced Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator to be responsible for clinical trials.
Overview
The Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator (SCTC) manages the implementation and conduct of clinical research in accordance with the appropriate quality standards and applicable regulations, rules and guidance. The key focus of this role is to function in the capacity of Lead Coordinator of designated clinical trials and to work collaboratively with the USC CTC team, sponsors, and monitors to ensure the successful conduct and timely completion of clinical trials.
Responsibilities
- Some of the key responsibilities include:
- You will manage study start-up, HREC submission, recruitment, screening and enrolment of research subjects, development of mechanisms for subject adherence to the research protocol, data collection and reporting, study drug/device accountability, monitoring of participants, education of investigators and health care professionals, research subjects and their families and communications with the research team.
- Function as the Lead Coordinator of multiple clinical trials simultaneously and manage multiple Principal Investigator relationships.
- Serve as the liaison with the sponsor for assigned studies.
- Support the orientation and training of new Clinical Trials Coordinators.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
- A tertiary qualification in Health Science/Bio-Medicine or similar education/training and experience.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and meet the NMBA professional standards.
- Previous Clinical Trial Coordination/Clinical Research experience.
- Detailed knowledge of clinical research practices, including an understanding of the contractual and ethical obligations of clinical trials, and ICH Good Clinical Practice.
- Nursing applicants with therapeutic expertise will be highly regarded.
