TRIPOD/Mini BOSS is currently seeking motivated, personable and skilled facilitators to join our team in Melbourne. We want to connect with like-minded, highly energetic, purpose driven individuals who are looking for the opportunity to mentor, coach and inspire our students in the classroom. Positions are available across TRIPOD Secondary School and Mini BOSS Primary School programs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Casual, as required during school terms
- Training provided, as well as ongoing support
- Supportive team environment
- $25-40p/h + travel (when required), depending on experience and level of facilitation.
TRIPOD is an organisation that believes in providing young people with the opportunity to understand, explore and develop the key skills they need to be highly successful and effective.
To do this we are currently working with primary/secondary schools and universities across Victoria to run half-day, full-day and multiple-day programs that give students the opportunity to develop the key enterprise skills they need for learning, life and work.
As a Program Facilitator you will run a suite of programs that deliver high paced activities, engaging content and develop relationships with students and teachers. You will need to be entertaining, informative and highly interactive in all aspects of the day including working with students one-on-one when required. You will follow a framework and a script, but work with the individual needs of students and school communities to adapt your style where required.
About You
You have the capacity to manage workshops with large groups of up-to 100 students as well as working one-on-one with young people aged 5-18 years old. You possess advanced public speaking skills that allow for sensitivity and good judgement in all aspects of program delivery and have a professional manner when working with students. You will have excellent organisation skills coupled with a willingness to respond to the day-to-day demands of a classroom environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in education or community development will be considered favourably
- Proven professional experience working with children aged between 5-18 is a must
- Proven experience as a Lead Facilitator is highly regarded
- Performing arts background or training highly desired
- A current Working With Children Check is mandatory
