SALARY RANGE: $67,562 to $90,827 pa (plus 17% super)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time and fixed term for 2 years
LOCATION: Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the Strategic Research Centre for Pattern Recognition and Data Analytics and initiate and conduct research in the areas of NLP, machine learning, and machine reasoning.
This will include:
- Initiating and conducting research under limited supervision either as a member of a team, or independently, to achieve the objectives of the relevant project or research agenda.
- Contributing to building and active international research record, prepare findings for oral and written communication including publications and the generation of external research income.
- Effectively producing data, maintaining data protocols and entering data into the Deakin Research Online (DRO) database.
- Constructively contributing to a vibrant research team including participating with colleagues in developing and maintaining links and partnerships with industry and the wider community.
ABOUT YOU
- A relevant doctoral qualification, or near completion of PhD.
- Advanced knowledge in NLP and deep learning.
- Experience in contributing to the supervision of undergraduate honours and/or research higher degree students.
- Interpersonal skills that support the ability to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with a diverse range of people.
