The Team

The Student Services Team comprises of the Students with Disability and School Psychologists sub-teams, and the Child Safe Lead to support the Child Safe Framework and its outcomes.

The Student Services Team is responsible for the collaborative service delivery and shared outcomes for student engagement and wellbeing. This is a full time contract position commencing as soon as possible.  

The Role

Key responsibilities for this role include:  

  • Supporting the mission of Catholic Education through the ongoing implementation and adoption of the Child Safe Framework in service to Catholic schools, care centres and communities.
  • Providing professional and specialised consultancy and advisory services relating to Child Safety for Catholic school leaders, staff and communities.
  • Developing relationships and partnerships with colleagues, school leaders, school staff and relevant organisations to cultivate a Child Safe culture in CEWA schools and care centres.
  • Supporting relevant legislation, registration standards, policies, services, and quality standards, informed by current and emerging research and professional practice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders in particular the Child Safe Team and Psychology Team.

Your Background

  • Demonstrated commitment to Catholic education.
  • Knowledge and experience with research informed child safety/ protection practices.
  • Knowledge and experience promoting healthy and respectful relationships in an educational setting.
  • Ability to contribute towards formulating sound policy and provide advice to CEWA Executive, schools and care centres.
  • Ability to develop, coordinate and deliver professional learning to build capacity in CEWA staff, schools and care centres.
  • Research and analytic skills to support decision making and policy development.
  • Ability to design programs and complete evaluations to realise child safe outcomes.
