SALARY RANGE: $67,675 to $75,904 pa (plus 17% super)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time (36.75 hours per week) and fixed term for 12 months
LOCATION: Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus
ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of this position is to implement the Indigenous Tutorial Network (ITN) at the Institute of Koorie Education with cultural integrity, whilst adhering to policies, procedures and guidelines established by the University and the Commonwealth.
This will include:
- Designing, delivering and promoting learning skills workshops for students that are responsive to their developmental needs and provide support at significant points of transition, and where possible embedded into course design and delivery.
- Implementing in-house tutoring programs to enhance the Institute's delivery of higher education qualifications, to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students attending on-campus study intensives at the Institute.
- Contributing to the measurement and evaluation of student academic development through systematic monitoring at different points in their learning journeys.
- Working with colleagues across the Institute of Koorie of Education to design and implement an online skills development program to empower student learning.
ABOUT YOU
- Progress towards a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated proven relevant experience in the efficient implementation and administration of student programs within a University environment.
- demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively, including the requirement for proper negotiation and consultation with Indigenous people on matters relevant to the delivery of education services to Indigenous people.
