EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time (36.75 hours per week) and continuing

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Disability Liaison Officer (DLO) supports the university community to be more inclusive of, and provide reasonable adjustments for students when the impacts of a disability, health or mental health condition affect their access to education.
This will include:
- Working with students and the university to identify and implement relevant adjustments and services for students with disability.
- Developing, and contributing to the development of resources and advice to build the capacity of the university community to include people with disability in education and university life.
- Contributing to the development and review of Equity and Diversity operational plans, policies, procedures and services and contribute to and lead designated projects.
- Ensuring the implementation of all University policies that relate to the areas for which the position is responsible, in particular, those relating to equal opportunity, occupational health and safety, risk management, staff development and staff performance planning and review.
ABOUT YOU
- Degree and/or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant profession.
- Experience in working with people with disability, building on strengths and developing individual plans
- Knowledge of reasonable adjustments in the context of higher education.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to negotiate outcomes.
