An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and self-directed TAS Assistant to join the Scots College on a full-time permanent basis.
You will work alongside motivated staff and students in our Technological and Applied Studies Department and will deliver the latest in design applications, digital and 3D printing and technology.

Essential Selection Criteria
- Knowledge of relevant tools, machines and materials (timber, metals, plastics, electronics)
- Computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Windows, Office, Adobe Illustrator,
- 3D Printer Software, TinkerCAD, Sketch Software, Laser Cutter Job Management Software
- Competency in working with machines such as drop saws, table saws, drill presses, disc sanders, belt sanders, scroll saws, hand held routers, vacuum forming presses.
- Electrical and electronic skills with an understanding of basic electrical circuits, soldering and a basic understanding of electronic/logic circuits
- An understanding of simple computer programming logic and simple program writing, preferably in 'C' and Python
- Patience, perseverance and an understanding of the differing requirements and skill levels within the student body (including some with learning difficulties). A concern for the safety of students and other staff is of paramount importance
- Highly developed organisational skills including the ability to prioritise.
- Awareness of WHS requirements in workshops
- Experience in managing maintenance cycles for workshop equipment
- Driver’s License

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TAS Assistant who is looking to be part of an innovative and exciting education facility. We are looking for someone with:
- Knowledge and experience working with Timber, Plastic, Electronics.
- Computer skills in MS Office, Adobe Package and 3D Printing Software.
- Electronic Skills, with basic understanding of circuits.
