Merrydays Kindergarten Society Inc is a community based education and care service located in Merrylands. Established in 1948, we provide care and quality education for children aged 2 to 5 years.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified educator to join our highly motivated, dedicated and dynamic team. 

As a trained educator you MUST be competent in planning and programming for young children. As well as being competent in documenting their learning for both the children and their families. You must have a clear understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS), the Early Learning Years Framework (ELYF) and want to strive for high quality outcomes in all areas.

You will be working within a high quality work environment, you will be provided with ample time off the floor to compete programs and documentation.

You will be working with a warm and supportive team, and have a supportive management committee to guide you. We offer our educators professional support, further education, flexibility, security and a well resourced early learning environment.

The position requires the trained educator to work 5 days a week on rotating shifts, with a monthly Rostered Day Off.

Essential Criteria:

• Diploma in Children’s Services – TAFE qualified.
• Would suit graduate ECT.
• Extensive knowledge of the Early Learning Years Framework
• Sound knowledge of the National Quality Standards
• Working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law Act and Regulations
• High level of communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with parents, committee and other educators
• Experience in children's services, programming and subsequent documentation
• Demonstrated knowledge of child development.

This is a 12 month position with a 6 month probation period and a view to permanency.
