About us

The Pro Vice-Chancellor’s Office (Education) will, on behalf of the University, proactively and strategically identify and implement initiatives aimed at transforming USQ’s educational experiences and offerings. The Education Portfolio, within the Pro Vice-Chancellor’s Office (Education), partners with communities internal and external to USQ to enable excellence in learning, teaching and research and consists of three units: Library Services, Office for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching, and the Digital Life Lab.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Workplace Learning Coordinator to work closely with academics and professional staff across the Education Portfolio. 

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education), you will be responsible for setting up processes and procedures to provide high quality learning and development activities and resources for Education portfolio staff. Key to this role will be the creative generation of ideas to inspire and drive future-focused learning.  Additionally, you will be required to:
  • Identify training opportunities and needs of the Education portfolio staff;
  • Plan, administer and evaluate learning and development activities;
  • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge and expertise in relation to professional and organisational learning and development theories, models and practices;
  • Provide specialist advice on professional learning and development; and
  • Establish and develop links and networks with other professionals in industry, universities and external organisations.
What will help you succeed?

Key to your success in this role will be your ability to provide creative resolutions to inspire and drive future-focused learning. In addition, you will have:
  • A degree in an appropriate discipline such as adult/professional/organisational learning and development and relevant experience in the organisational, learning and development and/or training field, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training;
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of adult learning and professional development theories;
  • Demonstrated experience in conceptualising, implementing and evaluating high quality learning and development activities; and
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills, training and presentation skills, and capacity to develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of clients and colleagues.

Salary:  Total remuneration range $58,128 to $64,275 pa (includes salary range of $49,116 to $54,311 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
