The casual position of SEE Trainer will be based in our fantastic Taree office and reports directly to the SEE Coordinator. The primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver LLN and components of accredited training to clients specifically relating to Foundation Skills qualifications in compliance with ASQA framework and NORTEC policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholder to ensure desired outcomes and delivery hours are achieved in accordance with the contract
  • Undertake accurate record keeping and reporting duties to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Work with a diverse range of students with varying learning requirements
  • Deliver and assess VET

Key Selection Criteria 

Essential:

  1. A Certificate IV in Assessment and Training TAE40110 (or its successor) is essential for this role including the elective TAELLN401 and/or TAELLN501 or equivalent.
  2. Well-developed knowledge of the core employability skills framework and ACSF
  3. Ability to create learning resources and assessments relevant to the program delivery area
  4. Have proven experience achieving positive outcomes including client participation, retention and compliance
  5. Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office programs and internet research techniques
  6. Demonstrate flexible and adaptive training delivery experience with the ability to travel to attend meetings and training outside standard business hours as required
  7. Current Working with Children Check clearance for NSW/QLD or ability to obtain it prior to commencing employment and willingness to undertake AFP National Police Check
  8. Driver's License and reliable transport

Desirable:

  1. A diploma or higher level qualification in adult education including a unit in foundation skills with relevant teaching hours (100+) OR
  2. A specialist Adult Literacy qualification OR
  3. A recognised TESOL qualification
