The Opportunity:

An opportunity exists within our of University Planning and Statistics (UPS) team for a Performance Analyst. University Planning and Statistics (UPS) is an innovative, collaborative and responsive multi skilled team.  UPS play a key role in supporting the development of evidence-based strategic planning and decision-making, in line with the University’s strategy – Focus Monash.  The Performance Analyst is a key member of the Performance Analytics Team within UPS.  The team are responsible for providing independent, real-time, reliable, well researched and reasoned insights to inform the senior leaders of the University. 

If you are an experienced analyst with: a proactive approach to understanding key business drivers; an ability to apply contemporary statistical analysis techniques and methodologies to respond to complex analysis and reporting requirements; a demonstrable track record of developing analysis and insights which are rooted in a deep understanding of the business and the identification of opportunities which can uplift business performance; an ability to clearly communicate the insights of your analysis; and an enthusiasm for working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation then this could be the role for you.  

About the Role:

You will be a subject matter expert regarding the University’s performance, proactively identifying emerging data and information needs, implementing processes to respond to these needs, and clearly articulating actionable insights derived from your analysis to inform critical business questions, decision making and planning to support the University’s strategic goals.  To achieve this you will apply contemporary statistical (modelling, forecasting, regression etc.), analytic, and research techniques to identify trends and drivers of University performance, anticipate change, estimate impact and identify opportunities for improvement.  You will develop and sustain a deep understanding of the University operations, profile and institutional performance.  Reporting to the Performance Analytics Lead, you will actively collaborate with colleagues within UPS and across the institution.   

What will you bring to the role?
