Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges (QATC) is passionate about agriculture, agribusiness and training future industry employees, leaders and entrepreneurs. An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced equine practitioner to contribute to the future of Queensland’s Agricultural sector.

 

To be successful in this position you will have broad experience and contemporary expertise in working horses within an agricultural or related industry setting.  Your skills will be integral in you taking a lead role within our equine program.  You will demonstrate and build on your elite herd husbandry capabilities through the ongoing development of the QATC equine resources. 

 

You will be comfortable in delivering training across multiple disciplines, developing curriculum and associated functions.  Your contribution to education and training will see you undertake a variety of duties involving instructional delivery and student assessment combined with the operational activities, including farrier work.

 

This role requires you to hold, or have the ability to obtain, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) and the minimum vocational qualification in a field relevant to the instructional role. Relevant industry experience appropriate to the position is essential.  A strong agricultural equine industry profile will be highly regarded.
