About Us:
Ballykin in a privately owned, 45 place centre which follows an emergent play based curriculum, with an emphasis on creative arts. We have a strong focus on nature play incorporating weekly outings in the local community. Staff are encouraged to attend professional development courses as well as encouraged to take on further study.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Director, the qualified educator will be working in our 2-3 year old room on a rotating shift Monday-Friday. Some of your main duties will include:
- Planning, preparing, and creating a nurturing, calm and safe environment for children
- Ability to maintain high quality observations, learning stories and reflections
- Work alongside an experienced Early Childhood Educators and taking on responsibilities as part of the team
- Effectively communicate with families, staff and children
- Attending staff meetings and reflecting on individual and team practices.
Essential Requirements:
- An ACECQA approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Teaching
- Proven ability and experience to plan and implement an emergent curriculum for children.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
- Proven ability to develop, implement and maintain comprehensive children's developmental records.
- Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated computer skills
- A current Working With Children Check number
- Approved Asthma / /Anaphylaxis/First Aid qualifications
- Approved Child Protection training
