About us
The Dymocks Group is a sizeable private Group with a history of trading over 138 years. Most well known for the iconic multi-channel “Dymocks” retail brand the Group also has significant investments in commercial property, food manufacturing and farming. During an exciting period of growth, the Group is establishing a tutoring business with the aim of providing meaningful tutoring services to young students.
The Roles
We have significant demand for Content Creators to write fantastic materials for our tutoring business. The brief is to write content aligned to the NSW Curriculum in the following subject areas:
- English
- Mathematics
- Year 11 and 12 Chemistry
- Year 11 and 12 Biology
All the roles are casual with opportunity to continue to write content for us or become one of our exceptional tutors. These roles have great flexibility and facilitate work from home.
Responsibilities
- Create and adapt teaching and learning material for delivery in a tutoring context in line with the NSW curriculum. Content will include lesson plans, student workbooks, class presentation slides and formative assessment questions and fully worked solutions
- Ensure that created and adapted material aligns with our class structure, pedagogical approach and our templates
- Review and approve content and load it into our learning management system
Key attributes
- Degree qualified in teaching with appropriate tertiary qualifications in the relevant subject area
- Understanding of the NSW curriculum requirements
- Strong awareness of a range of current materials used in your subject area
- At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the relevant subject area
- Reliable and motivated, capable of working autonomously but also collaborating with a broader team
- Willingness to explore new ways of teaching and delivering content
- Passion for teaching and engaging students
- A moderate level of proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written communication skills and a high degree of attention to detail
