Our client is a provider of Vocational and Higher education in Australia.
 
They are currently recruiting qualified teachers to work on joint Australian-Chinese high-school programs in China from 1 September 2018 in multiple cities across China.
 
Experience teaching in China is preferable but not essential as the teachers will work closely with experienced Australian Directors of Studies.
 
The teacher would deliver year 10 EAL, with the focus on getting students ready, both in terms of English level and awareness of Australian teaching pedagogies to VCE units delivered in year 11 and 12. Orientation is provided before departure and on arrival in China with weekly contact.
 
The teaching is general second language teaching leading to the skills of VCE. These skills are scaffolded and mentored. The curriculum is supplied (Senior 1/Year 10).
 
Classes are to a maximum of 18-20 classes (45 min per class) per week and there are up to 25 students per class and there is no weekend work. 
 
The role is for 11 months, with the possibility to renew. The salary package includes return airfares, Travel insurance (Including Medical), private accommodation at the school, all Visa costs processing and fees and access to meals at the school canteen.
 
 
Essential criteria
 

• Bachelor degree
• TESOL qualification
• 3 years’ teaching experience (ESL/EFL/ EAL / Middle school teachers)

Desirable
 

• Bachelor or Postgraduate qualification in education
• High-school teaching experience
• Experience teaching in China
