The Australian Industry Group (“Ai Group”), which acts as a key influencer in the creation of policy on behalf of Australian industry, is in the market for a Senior Policy Officer to help shape the national Education and Training policy agenda.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Education & Training, you will contribute to Ai Group’s strategic education and training policy development. You will undertake research, develop strategic policy advice, prepare submissions and project manage key contracts. You will also play an important role in keeping Ai Group’s members, affiliates and key internal stakeholders informed about education and training system developments and contracted projects.
Please note this is a limited duration position currently available until July 2019, with the potential for extension.
About You
To succeed in this busy and challenging role you will have strong public policy development and project management experience in education and training and be comfortable, fluent and strategic in communicating with major external stakeholders in business, government and beyond.
You will possess exceptional analytical and writing skills and you will understand the key education and training issues that concern businesses of all sizes. You will be degree qualified, and have significant previous experience in either a public policy or an advocacy role.
