About Tec-NQ 

Tec-NQ is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and an Independent Senior Secondary School. Tec-NQ delivers education and training to Townsville and the North Queensland region, including full time apprentice training, on demand industry training, pre-employment programs and school-based apprentice programs. Vocational and trade training is provided across the broad industry areas including Construction, Electro-technology, Engineering, Automotive and Information Technology.

Tec-NQ operates in a state of the art facility and delivers innovative curriculum and training programs that are supported by strong links with industry. About the Role

Due to growth in the business, Tec-NQ requires further support in the delivery of our Academic Programs. We are currently seeking suitably qualified applicants to join the training delivery team as an Academic Facilitator, predominately teaching Senior English with the ability to teach Senior Maths if required.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  1. Bachelor of Education qualification;
  2. Demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and assessment of Senior Secondary English and Maths with the ability to adopt a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching and learning;
  3. Ability to use information technology in various formats and combinations to enrich and extend the learning opportunities of the students;
  4. Well developed verbal and written communication skills;
  5. Current Queensland Registered Teacher registration; and
  6. Current C-Class Australian Drivers Licence.

Desirable

  1. Demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and assessment of secondary Maths A and B with the ability to adopt a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching and learning; and
  2. Possession of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
