About our Centre
Welcome to Milestones Early Learning North Parramatta! Our centre can cater for up to 68 children and is managed by our enthusiastic, fun-loving educators who have a passion for teaching! At Milestones Early Learning North Parramatta, we believe that utilising the Lifelong Learning Approach is key for every child as it gives them the tools and skills to prepare them for an excellent education. We integrate an exciting 'Healthy Children' program of events and activities and invite our families to join in as much as possible. We love to build relationships within the local community and provide enriched learning experiences for our children.

The role
This role enables you to play an active part in creating healthy menus.
You’ll have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, questions, ideas and tips led by Kelly Richardson, the Gourmet Nutritionist, and devoted centre cooks.
You’ll also be encouraged to utilise the amazing feed Australia program – a free program enabling cooks to plan, budget and access healthy menus to enable children’s growth and development while in child care.
About you
Efficient and capable cook
Able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages
Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control
Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards
Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needs
Keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events

You already have
- Current Food Safety and Handlers (Health and Community) Certificate
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery / equivalent (desirable)
- Experience in an early childhood setting
- Reliable transport to and from our centre
- Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate
- Hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willing to obtain one
