About the role: 
The Grove Academy Mascot is a brand new state of the art service. An opportunity is available for an experienced Assistant Director to join our team of passionate, qualified and inspiring educators in Mascot. 

The successful candidate will work full time within the centre alongside other educators, within a team environment. 

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Centre in line with company policies and procedures
  • Lead, support and motivate a large team of educators in providing the highest quality service
  • Manage rosters using our time and attendance system
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members, parents, children and the wider community
  • Guiding Educators to best practice (overseeing and supporting the Educational Leader's role across the service)
  • Oversee expectation of Centre presentation internal/external play spaces
  • Promote and market the service to increase utilisation, viability and manage the centre waiting list
  • Monitor all staff interactions to ensure they are in line with the EYLF and The Grove Academy standards
  • Upholding a premium service in line with The Grove Academy standards

 

A successful applicant will possess the following skills & experience:

  • Completed Diploma in Early Childhood or Early Childhood Teacher
  • Minimum of 1 year experience directing a centre is essential
  • Sound knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework
  • Current First Aid Certificate/Asthma & Anaphylaxis
  • Maintaining a positive and professional attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive culture within our centre
  • Ability to plan and implement a quality, educational and child based program in line with The Grove Academy standards
  • Strong knowledge of computer skills including Qikkids, CCMS & ISS
  • Experience with Assessment and Rating
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with large teams
  • Ability to relate to individuals of various ages, social and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to organise and manage an effective staffing roster
