Genius Collins street Melbourne is a purpose built, architecturally designed centre that has been carefully planned with the highest level of detail with new ownership and management change the service is looking for a Nursery Lead Educator who would like to take the next step in their career and lead a team of educators to reach their full potential.

The Role:
•As a Leader you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Nursery Room. You will be supported by qualified permanent Assistant Educators.
•As a Senior Leader you will have sound Knowledge of the Early Year's Learning Framework.
•As a Senior Leader you will be contributing to the welfare and education of the children and display values that align with the NQF and our Philosophy.
•As a Senior Leader you will create a positive relationships with the community,team members, children and their families.
•Communication with parents is extra important in this role as all the children will be new to the service and relationships will need to be built quickly with all of the new families.
•You will have a genuine interest in promoting children's learning and well-being.
You will work with Leadership Team to provide support and training to other staff members in the centre and be actively working towards Genius Vision and Mission.
Role Requirements:
•Diploma in Children’s Services
•Current FA, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
•Current WWCC
•Previous experience as a Room Leader ideally you have worked with children under 2 years of age.
•Confidence in using modern technology and apps.
•Ready to embark on learning journey and open to new theories and practices.
•Ability to demonstrate and approach tasks in a professional and proactive manner, using initiative and flexibility.
•Demonstrate great time management and organisational skills.
•Excellent presentation& communication skills.
•Bubbly positive nature - we want a team that all love what they do!
