Our Moonee Beach centre currently has the opportunity for an energetic and passionate assistant educator to join the team! 

Day to day you will:

  • Assist children in daily routines, rest periods and mealtime
  • Document children's learning
  • Create positive relationships with team members, children and their families
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children at all times
  • Work collaboratively with other team members on a range of projects unique to this service.

You will have:

  • Certificate III  in Children's Services (or studying towards a suitable Certificate III or Diploma)
  • Previous experience within Early Childhood or Childcare environments, engaging children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups / stages of development
  • Hold a paid Working with Children Check 
  • A current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificate
  • A genuine interest in promoting children's learning and well-being
  • Knowledge of the Early Year's Learning Framework for the Assistant Position
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • The ability to demonstrate and approach tasks in a professional and proactive manner, using initiative and flexibility
  • Knowledge of health, hygiene and the nutritional needs of children
  • Great time management and organisational skills
