Our Moonee Beach centre currently has the opportunity for an energetic and passionate assistant educator to join the team!
Day to day you will:
- Assist children in daily routines, rest periods and mealtime
- Document children's learning
- Create positive relationships with team members, children and their families
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children at all times
- Work collaboratively with other team members on a range of projects unique to this service.
You will have:
- Certificate III in Children's Services (or studying towards a suitable Certificate III or Diploma)
- Previous experience within Early Childhood or Childcare environments, engaging children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups / stages of development
- Hold a paid Working with Children Check
- A current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificate
- A genuine interest in promoting children's learning and well-being
- Knowledge of the Early Year's Learning Framework for the Assistant Position
- Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- The ability to demonstrate and approach tasks in a professional and proactive manner, using initiative and flexibility
- Knowledge of health, hygiene and the nutritional needs of children
- Great time management and organisational skills
