ABOUT US
THE POSITION
Moreton Bay College (MBC) and Moreton Bay Boys’ College (MBBC) are two separate P-12 single sex Uniting Church day schools. Governed by a Board and led by a single Executive Principal, each school retains its independent legal status, a single sex focus and its own personality and attributes. However, both schools have significant strengths to offer the other and together have a unique market leading proposition in private school education for families on the Brisbane bayside just 15 kilometres from Brisbane city.
THE POSITION
The Head of Co-Curriculum is directly responsible for the leadership of both College’s co-curricular programmes across sport, cultural, music, adventure sport, and academic co-curricular programs. Additionally, the Head of Co- Curriculum is responsible for all student travel opportunities. In short and as broad rule of thumb, if an educational opportunity or activity happens outside of the classroom it becomes the responsibility of the Head of Co-Curriculum.
The Directors of Sport and Music report to Head of Co-Curriculum. All co-coordinators of co-curricular activities report to the Head of Co-Curriculum.
The Head of Co-Curriculum reports directly to the Executive Principal and is a member of the executive leadership team that provides strategic leadership and operational management of the colleges. It is expected that the Head of Co-Curriculum work very closely with the respective Heads of College to coordinate the ‘Outstanding Educational Experience’ for all students at the Moreton Bay Colleges.
The expectation of the Head of Co-Curriculum is one of high quality leadership and innovation to drive the strategic direction of co-curricular programs in collaboration with the college’s executive team.
