About the Role
VET trainers/assessors are responsible for training delivery and assessment of students, recording and submitting assessments of student work per term. Candidate must be aware of necessary procedures to meet various audit and regulatory requirements such as SRTO 2015, ESOS, and AQF. Further responsibilities are as follows:
Training and delivery
- Delivery of current qualifications according to the Training Package in course area;
- Implementing and self-managing curriculum review on a regular basis;
- Ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of curriculum;
- Ongoing professional development in course area.
Student Management
- Monitoring student academic performance closely and making recommendations to the Coordinator
- Reporting, submitting and verifying assessments in a timely manner.
- Responsible for effective communication between staff and students;
- Familiarising yourself with the appropriate forms for student management system.
Essential Criteria
- The candidate must demonstrate the evidence required as per the RTO Standards 2015 (Clauses 1.13 – 1.16).
- TAE40110/ TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
- Must have vocational competency at the level delivering training and assessment;
- A minimum of 2 years of current industry experience,
- Evidence of ongoing professional development related to both vocational education and industry training area.
