Kardinia Childcare and Kindergarten and Kardinia Church, are currently seeking an experience and passionate Director for our beautiful early learning centre in the South West Victorian region.
ABOUT US
In 2006, we at Kardinia Church set out to provide a not for profit centre for our community, that placed the children’s needs first, staffed by people that believed in the values of family and the potential in each child. In 2015 we expanded our reach to Warrnambool and now we need a passionate Director to lead our team.
Kardinia Childcare & Kindergarten Warrnambool is a 98 place, not-for-profit centre, only 3 years old, which is based in a beautifully renovated and re-purposed dwelling that provides a relaxed home away from home environment for children to develop into competent and confident young learners.
This centre is heavily influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach and believes strongly in learning through discovery where children are given the tools and support to steer through their own learning journeys.
You will lead a team that encourages children to explore daily in a natural outdoor environments, which is an intentional space containing open spaces and a harmony garden promoting physical health and emotional wellbeing.
ABOUT YOU
- A passionate Christian who is mission bent, community focused who will connect to the wider Kingdom vision of Kardinia Church is highly desirable
- At least 2 years' experience in a Centre Manager position within Early Childhood Education demonstrating experience in administration, staff management, financial management and HR responsibilities
- An enthusiastic, inspiring and innovative personality, able to impact with their positive influence and build community connections
- Demonstrated capabilities in team and culture leadership, safety, operational excellence and achieving business results.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and be adaptable to a changing environment
- Have high level people skills and the ability to work alongside all people with an attitude of service and respect.
It is essential for the Centre Director to have experience in and / or sound knowledge of:
- The National Law and Regulations
- Compliance with written Policies and Procedures in accordance with the National Law
- The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
- Curriculum implementation and development
- Marketing experience and a love of social media platforms
- Proven track record in occupancy growth
- Developing, leading and managing a professional and successful team
- New staff induction and performance management
