The opportunity
We are looking for a Childcare Educator | Room Leader to join our new centre in Mascot. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for:
- Ensure learning and development is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
- Implement and evaluate programs indoors and outdoors
- Create a stimulating and positive environment for the children
- Writing observations and analysing children's progression and development
- Be a confident and active leader of your room team
- Provide support and assistance to other staff members
- Monitor all staff interactions to ensure they are in line with the EYLF and The Grove Academy standards
- Develop strong relationships with children and effectively communicate with parents and carers
Skills & Experience
- Bachelors/Diploma in Children's Services/Certificate III in Children's Services
- Experience working within a childcare setting
- Enthusiastic and career oriented
- Understanding of the EYLF and NQF
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Being proactive within the centre and learning environment
- Able to work in a team environment
