About the School – Head of Chemistry – Enfield, North London

This is a well-run Catholic Boys School in the leafy outer London suburb of Enfield. The school has 400 years of history since it first opened in the 117th century and under the current head and leadership team is moving from strength to strength. The school has exceptional facilities on a lovely green campus, which includes its own swimming pool, performance studios and abundant outdoor space. In terms of science, the school is investing heavily to modernise the facilities with a majority of the work taking place over the summer holidays. This is all in the aim of providing a world-class secondary education for its students through to A-Level (Year 12). From January 2019 (or sooner if available) the school is keen to appoint a Head of Chemistry who will play a major role in developing and delivering the subject across the school. Behaviour at this school is excellent and students have high levels of respect for their teachers and each other making this a great place to teach and learn at!

About the Role – Head of Chemistry – Enfield, North London

This is an extremely important role for the school as they look to continue to build on the excellent work that has been taking place in the science department with rising attainment levels and more students than ever electing to pick chemistry for A-Level (Year 12) study. Firstly, the school is looking for an exceptional Science Teacher with a passion for Chemistry. The ability to lead and develop other staff comes a close second as does your ability to build pupils confidence in this traditionally challenging subject. The school is open to seeing applications from candidates already in a similar role and from experienced teachers looking to take the next step in their career.
