Swinburne University of Technology has announced its first IT Graduate Program for an intake in 2019!

Swinburne IT has a strategic focus, partnering with the business to deliver programs of work that align to each of Swinburne's three strategic pillars: Future Ready Learners, Research with Impact and Innovative Enterprise. Swinburne IT is a key enabler for Swinburne to achieve its vision and deliver the 2025 Strategic Plan. 

We will be looking for passionate, ambitious and innovative IT graduates to help us create the future of IT at Swinburne. This exciting opportunity commences in February 2019 and aims to provide you with the opportunity to forge your own career path IT, going beyond what you thought was possible.

Our Graduate program (fixed 2 year placement) will consist of 4 rotations (6 months in each department) with an opportunity to gain varied and valuable experience. Within this program you will be assigned a mentor who will be available every step of the way to assist and provide support. Meaningful work will be provided to ensure that you develop your skill set with expected learning along the way. If your application is successful you will be required for a full day Tuesday 25th September 2018.


Our rotational Graduate Program allows you to enjoy multiple experiences, roles and exposure in teams such as:
• Application Services - Build
• Application Services - Run
• Architecture
• Business Engagement
• Business Improvement
• Infrastructure Services and Operations
• Integration
• Networking
• Project Management Office
• Web Services

As you move through the rotations you will gain experience in modelling, risk, strategy, establishing roadmaps, working with our world class consulting partners and delivering market leading tools and platforms. 

This is truly a great opportunity to build partnerships with our business stakeholders to ensure improvement, design and delivery of robust, secure and fit for purpose technology solutions. You are not guaranteed a position at the end of the graduate program but based on performance and availability of positions.

Am I Eligible?
 
To be eligible for this program you must meet the following selection criteria

• You must have completed a minimum of a bachelors degree in IT discipline 
• Be either in your final year of university or have graduated in the last one to two years
• Be either an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or be a permanent resident or hold a current student visa (if successful, you will be required to obtain full working rights by time of commencement - Feb 2019)
• Achieved an average score of Distinction (70/100 or above)

o Applied Science (Cyber Security or Multimedia)
o Business Information Systems
o Computer Engineering
o Computer Science
o Digital Technologies
o Information Technology
o Programming
o Software Engineering
