We are currently seeking a dedicated, motivated and passionate Lead Educator to start with the team at our Norman Park centre. Our centre is located just outside the city near Bulimba. We have a beautiful three level centre that is well resourced with modern equipment. Avenues- Norman Park takes a Reggio Emelia inspired approach to early learning, and pride ourselves on our emphasis on building strong and respectful relationships with each child.
We currently have a permanent part-time position available for an experienced and qualified Lead Educator to join our team in the 15 month+ (toddlers) age room. You will be provided mentoring and support with a full-time Educational Leader to help with programming and room items, you will also be given non-contact paid programming time each week.
This position is 37.5hrs per week, worked over 5 days.
We are looking for an applicant who:
- Holds a Diploma of Children's Services (Non-Negotiable)
- Has minimum 2 years experience in a Lead Educator role
- Has experience working in a toddlers room
All positions at our centre must have:
- A current and valid Working with Children's Check (Blue Card)
- A current Senior First Aid, CPR & Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
- A good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- A moderate to high level of computer skills in able to use our online programing software
- The ability to work any shift between operations hours of 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday.
