The Graduate School of Health (GSH) plays a significant role in the strategic development of UTS as the University expands its research strength and degree offerings in Health. GSH is focused on postgraduate education and research in health. The School commenced in 2011 with the establishment of the pharmacy discipline. Currently, the GSH delivers graduate-entry masters' degrees and high impact research in pharmacy, orthoptics, clinical psychology and physiotherapy, with genetic counselling and speech pathology commencing in 2019. The school also has an Indigenous Health Discipline to integrate Indigenous learning outcomes through every course.

About the Role
In this role you will contribute to, develop and deliver curriculum in the area of speech pathology. You will work closely with the Head of Discipline (Speech Pathology) and the academic team to develop and deliver course content and with the Educational Designer and Head of Discipline of Indigenous Health to align content and delivery to UTS Model of Learning and ensure that the Speech Pathology curriculum meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
You will also have the opportunity to conduct high quality research and provide supervision of coursework masters and higher degree research students.

About You
A strong and confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, you will bring to this role:
• A PhD in Speech Pathology or related field and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
• Demonstrated knowledge in speech pathology with ability to teach and coordinate related subjects and to contribute to curriculum development
• Experience in scholarly research with demonstrated capacity to obtain research grants and other support for research projects; as Lecturer, an emerging research track record of refereed publications and conference presentations; as Senior Lecturer, an established research track record
• Demonstrated ability to forge links with the Speech Pathology profession and other key stakeholders.

You will also have considerable clinical experience and an understanding of key issues in contemporary higher education and research as relevant to the School.  Research and teaching experience in the areas of child and adolescent language would be highly regarded.

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: 
$101,932 - $116,641p.a (Academic Level B)
$119,083 - $137,082 p.a. (Academic Level C)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
