McKellar Cottage immerses children in a learning world of excellence, enhanced through modern facilities. Our highly trained and motivated team of Educators are dedicated to providing educational and play based programs that meet the needs of each child.

We are a privately owned Centre seeking a, highly motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic Certificate III qualified educator and a Trainee to expand our team.

We believe that our team of Educators are the foundation of a successful Centre, as such, candidates will undergo interviews to ensure the best fit for our team.

General Responsibilities:

  • To work as part of a team, with other Educators in providing an environment where new ideas are welcomed and encouraged and Educators are valued.
  • To provide a calm and inviting environment that the children enjoy, through organisation and participation in the day-to-day operations of the Centre.
  • To work in accordance with, the Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Quality Framework and Education and Care Services National Law.
  • To follow educational programs, that fosters children's needs, strengths and interests.
  • To be willing to continuously further your knowledge and skills in the childcare field.
  • To work according to Centre's Policies, Procedures and Centre Philosophy
  • To remain professional at all times and adhere to confidentiality.
  • Undertake and implement the requirements of the National Quality Standards.
  • Supervise children at all times and be at children's level when interacting.
  • Carry out and follow the daily routine of the Centre. While remaining flexible to accommodate children's interest.
  • To have good relations and build trust with children and parents.
  • Assist in planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs and contribute ideas.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and utilise this knowledge in daily practice.
