About the business and the role
Irrigation Australia Limited (IAL) is the national peak industry body for the irrigation industry for both urban and rural including larger water provider organisations, consultants and designers, contractors and installers, education and research institutions, government at all levels, manufacturers and retailers.
IAL is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Training and Irrigation Professional for a permanent position, reporting to the National Training, Certification & Marketing Manager to assist with the delivery of irrigation training across Australia.

Job tasks and responsibilities
- Delivery of irrigation related training
- Work with Irrigation Australia's Certification Board assisting with the delivery of certification programs for professionals and designers
- Training content development and improvement
- Representation and reporting at various working groups/committees
- Training needs analysis and reporting
- Senior stakeholder engagement
- Travel regularly within Australia
Skills and experience
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Drive new business training opportunities
- Ability to work autonomously and also as part of a small close knit team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Assertive conflict-resolution and problem solving skills
- Clear and concise communication in written and verbal form
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Applicants with experience in a similar role within the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- Experience as a trainer within a registered training organisation (RTO)
- Understanding and knowledge of ASQA
- Experience with the VETtrak student management system
- Knowledge of irrigation and pumping
