We require a full time Automotive Mechanical/Electrical Trainer that is experienced in Automotive Mechanical; Vehicle Underbody, Auto Electrical and Tyre Fitting.
TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.
Duties, responsibilities, skills & capabilities
- Deliver quality training and assessment to students and clients of Work Skills predominately under a recognition of Prior learning (RPL) environment.
- Deliver face to face, on the job training
- Manage student and employer information correctly and ensure data entered into our internal database and is accurate, current and compliant as per ASQA standards and Work Skills policy
- Manage the progression of each student so they complete their qualification utilising a timely and economic process. Facilitate the completion of each qualification.
- Develop rapport with all Work Skills customers and external stakeholders
- Achieve minimum productivity targets each week
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday and vary between 8am to 6pm based on a 76 hour fortnight.
This position is ideally suited to an individual with the following skills:
- A desire for education and training
- Current industry experience and knowledge is essential
- The ability to build relationships with Employers, Supervisors, Apprentices and colleagues
- Ensure that a high level of quality training is delivered
- Able to adapt to different work environments.
- Be willing to accept change
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
- Remains calm under pressure with a solution focused approach to all tasks
