About the Role
As the Victorian Safety and Training Manager, you will support the Victorian leadership team to drive understanding and ownership of personal safety through the implementation of our Hands on Safety 100% Program, and the facilitation and coordination of training and development.

You will also lead the local Operational Risk Team, be an integral part of the branch leadership team and report to the Victorian General Manager, with support from National Operational Risk.

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on coaching and influencing. It is exciting, challenging and no two days will ever be the same.

 

About You
The successful candidate will be passionate about growing and developing people and making a difference. Throw in a creative can-do attitude, a collaborative approach and an unrelenting desire to create a safer workplace, then you could be the Safety and Training Manager that we are looking for.

Our ideal candidate must also possess the following key skills and experience:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
    AND
  • Certificate IV in Safety
  • Proven success in driving WHS performance and safety leadership culture
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small team across multiple Victorian sites
  • Maintain records and provide reports to management on the state position pertaining to safety and compliance, training schedules and staff development
  • Transport or related industry experience is advantageous
  • Experience in Incident Investigations and WHS Auditing is highly regarded.
