About the role

  • Lecturer $103,047 - $121,478 plus salary supplementation, 17% superannuation and leave loading
  • Senior Lecturer $125,160 - $143,593 plus salary supplementation, 17% superannuation and leave loading
  • 5 Years Fixed Term, Full Time (Convertible Tenure Track)

Due to an exciting period of growth for the School of Risk & Actuarial Studies, applications are invited for the appointment of two Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer’s (Level B/C academic) with an outstanding record of teaching, demonstrated leadership and research expertise in Actuarial Studies.

While this position indicates a 5-year appointment, it may convert to a continuing role.

A Level B Academic (Lecturer) is expected to make contributions to teaching in the School and to carry out activities to maintain and develop his/her scholarly research and professional activities.

A Level C Academic (Senior Lecturer) is expected to make significant contributions to teaching in the School and to play a major role in scholarship, research and professional activities.

The roles of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will report to the Head of School, Risk and Actuarial Studies.

About the successful applicant

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A PhD degree in actuarial science or a related discipline (or expected to complete their degree requirements by end of 2018).
  • Expected or demonstrated in publishing in top international journals in actuarial science and/or related areas (Level B)
  • A strong track record of publications in top international journals in actuarial science and/or related areas with demonstrated success in applying for competitive research grants (Level C)
